If you have a straight boy shaped figure wear mini-skirts with pleats or ruffles giving your lower body a boost. Pair it with flats for an easy chic look. If you have a curvy figure wear body hugging pencil skirts that hit at the knee. Keep it sexy with a thin cardigan and heels.
Tokyo Fashion Week 2009
Wednesday, April 1st, 2009The 2009 Autum/Winter collections of the Japan Fashion Week started in Tokyo on 23th of March. But instead of known names, there are also quite a few new ones this season… YUKI TORII, THEATRE PRODUCTS, MOTONARI ONO, Né-net, matohu, KAMISHIMA CHINAMI etc. Some of our members created some awsome selections inspired by the Tokyo Fashion Week!
Yoki Torii has presented bi-annual collection. She recieved FEC Award in 1976 and 1988. In 1985, her boutique opened in Gallerie Vivienne in Paris. Torii is also the author of “Let’s wear kimono”.
Motonari Ono was founded by a new young designer Ono in 2006 in Tokyo. Ono went to Mejiro Design School during 2000 and 2002. From 2002, he started at London College of Fashion Foundation(LCF) where he graduated with honors in June 2003. In September 2003, he enrolled in Royal College of Fine Art Antwerp where he left shortly after to work for Bora Aksu, a London designer. In 2004, he joined Bora Aksu as a chief pattern-maker.
Theatre Products is a young designer duet of Akira Takeuchi and Tayuka Nakanish. Born in 1976, Takeuchi graduated from ESMOD JAPON and worked for Comme des Garçons as a pattern-maker until 1999. While doing installation works and stage costumes, he established THEATRE PRODUCTS and became a representative. Born in 1977, Nakanishi graduated from ESMOD JAPON and joined Sanei International and was involved in projects such as Vivienne Tam. While doing installation works and stage costumes, she established THEATRE PRODUCTS.
